Jen Harwood is the founder and CEO of Happy Hair Brush, Australia’s #1 Hair Brush Company which we are expanding to the rest of the world. She has been a business coach and motivational speaker for the last 23 years. Jen also coaches a handful of business owners to grow and expand their e-commerce business or professional service business; and both sectors she has a lot of experience with. Jen also delivers keynote and conference presentations on the topics of The Art of Networking, The Greatness Principle and The Confident Woman! She loves speaking and is a solo parent to 11-year-old daughter Rose.
How did you get so lucky to have founded Happy Hair Brush?
Luck is actually doing a whole lot of work that nobody sees, no-one cares about and being crazily immersed in your project so that you constantly think, dream and take daily action on. Luck is created when you do all the little things that no-one cares about because it’s the detail, the insight, the connecting of collected knowledge and wisdom that’s not obvious on the surface, that gives you ALL the advantage.
Jen has personally coached over 500 business owners / senior leaders to grow their businesses and/or lead their teams. Her specialty is start ups, professional services businesses, spouse teams owning and running a business, e-commerce business from start-up to over $2 mil revenue and what it takes to grow and build a brand from nothing in a crowded market.
Jen has captivated audiences with her down to earth conversational style and real life stories. Jen entertains and teaches simultaneously so the deeper, more personally challenging ideas around confidence, speaking up and being brave can be embraced by audience members so they are empowered with real life strategies, not just bumper sticker comments. Taking the first 17 years of her coaching and consulting background, Jen applied all of her skills and passion into Happy Hair Brush. A business that was initially a side hustle to maybe pay for school fees and stop the morning battles with her daughter to a multi-million dollar enterprise with a global mission of changing the narrative people have about loving their hair and brushing it. Jen supports women of all types, backgrounds, ages and abilities to follow their dreams and play a bigger game. E-Com isn't easy, but all things that are worthwhile never are easy. Jen can share where her roadblocks have been, what she’s seen and learned along the way and also provide insights into the areas of your business that could be tweaked or leveraged.
